    What is your opinion about Sheffield, Leeds?

    I talked with a university professor and he told me that Leeds is better, on the other hand I checked the rankings and they mostly say that Sheffield is higher in rankings. Now, I do not know whcih to choose?

    What is your opinion about these three? Which is totally better? I need to choose the one which has the combination of all these factors.

    Sheffeild, York and Leeds

    1. Strong in EE
    2. World reputation and reputation in Uk
    3. Located in a safe city

    I would say Sheffield has the best reputation in EE and the Times ranking also says this. Sheffield’s reputation in Engineering is really strong in Britain and its a very nice city

    yes it would be hard to go against Sheffield although Leeds is very good as well and a bigger city but I would agree with Simon

    Honestly depth of my heart goes with Sheffield but I do try to mix logic with emtion and of course more logically..

    I would agree with Kieran, York is a great university but in the field of EE Sheffield and Leeds have the stronger reputations. All are good however and you will not make a wrong decision whichever you choose :-)

    I have been offered admission from these three universities.

    1. University of Sheffield
    2. University of York
    3. University of Leeds

    As previously mentioned my major is Electrical Engineering and I myself go with Sheffield but I need to choose the one which has the best world reputation, more recognized in US, located in a safe city and of course being strong totally and in my major.

    I appreciate your advices.
